 This page has been written to help you with writing your scripts. The intention of this page is to offer you guidance and help so that you can achieve the very best results with your video.

Create interest and put across the main selling points of your product or service

As a first step you will be asked to write the first script (for a 30 second video you will need to write approx. 80 words). If you would like our help we would be glad to talk to you in person about your company, its products or services and what you are trying to achieve. It often helps when an experienced external third party such as ourselves can take an objective look at your company or organization and offer advice.

Your goal should be to highlight the things that set you apart from your competition. Because the video is usually short, your main goal should be keeping it simple with a clear message. When you are happy with the script, we send it to the studio to be recorded.

Another thing to bear in mind is non-verbal communication. It's not just the words that you have to think about. You should also think about how naturally you want the actor or actress to move their hands and how you would like them to express themselves. We can direct the actor or actress to make certain motions, hand movements, facial expressions etc. We can also direct the voice to go up when asking an important question or pause after a key point for silent emphasis. All these small points contribute to creating a very effective presentation.

The internet is a very fast medium. Most people surfing the web only spend a very short time on most of the websites that they come across. Indeed, this is one of the areas where video technology can make a big difference. Make Sure You Keep the Main Message Clear

30 or 60 seconds is not a lot of time in which to put over your message. Have you ever noticed that the wording used on road-side advertising hoardings is kept very short indeed. Usually, advertising agencies have to get the message down to less than 5 words. Any more than that and the car drivers will not have time to read it when they drive past. The same applies to viewers on the Internet. Short clear messages get through and connect with viewers.


Choose the Most Appropriate Actor or Actress

Use the correct actor to present your message to your target audience. You know best who that target audience is. This is an important aspect of getting results.


Correct Choice of Wardrobe

Choice of appropriate dress for your message is important. If you or one of your personnel is presenting the video(s) it is worth noting that fitted clothing is better than loose, and colour is better than plain. Try not to wear something all one color, add a splash of something different to help break up the line. If you have chosen to use one of our actors then we will select with your agreement appropriate clothing to complement the colour scheme of your site.
